Loveland Castle Projects!
The Historic Loveland Castle has many projects underway!
Support has been phenomenal!
We are always trying to fix and improve the Castle for the benefit of the Knights and all of our faithful visitors
and new visitors to enjoy who support us and help out with our many projects!
We appreciate Donations from our many supporters and those of you who want to help preserve The Historic Loveland
Castle for the generations to come!
Save the Roof Fund:
As of August 13, 2008 we have now been able to apply a second coat to the Castle Roof. We would like to Thank everyone that was involved with this project!
You will notice, when you visit the Castle, that the roof is closed. This is because the roof leaks badly and needs a major upgrade.
We still have a way to go to make the improvements which will allow us to re-open the roof to visitors! This project is one of our most important, because Sir Joe feels like that is the most favored spot of visitors to the Castle!
We would like to thank Cold Jet For Donating their equipment to us for use taking decades of tar off of the Roof of the Castle! Cold Jet uses Dry Ice to clean years of tar and other material off without damaging the surface underneath!
Drop what you can in the jar!
Sidewalk Stones:
Handmade paving stones are being produced for a sidewalk on the third tier in the garden.
Drainage:
A new system is being dug across the back of the castle. Flowing down the hill and beside the castle. Then straight to the parking lot, where a mortar less wall will continue the existing one.
Greenhouse and Gardens:
The greenhouse is in full swing. The lower level hotbeds have inserts made to hold plants. The water garden is on hold an will be filled with flowers this season.
